A Week of Updates!

Hi guys! Hopefully your week has been full of excitement because I sure did! We have many updates to bring to you so lets get started.

Video Game Cover Contest

A Video Game Cover? What's that? Well, the Chobots team has came up with this brilliant new contest of having you guys make your own video game cover! You guys have been given the topic of something related to Nichos and you will need to design a video game cover using the template above and give a description of the video game on the back. Click here for the template.

When the contest is over, they will be searching through everyone's entries for who's was the most creative, colorful, and coolest so make sure you put some thought into it! All entries must be turned into the comment section by November 20th so you have plenty of time to think and design! 

Sliders Contest
During the week, we also have another contest that's being held- A sliders contest! The boards have been opened on the 15th and you have 2 days to try to win some citizen and bugs! Grab some friends and challenge them for a duel! 

Also, if you find anyone cheating, make sure you send an email to Support with evidence of the wrongdoer. You can contact the Support team here. May the odds be in your favor!

Agent's Meeting
Calling all agents! If you haven't noticed, we're already half into the month of November and it's time to hold a meeting for the agents.

Agents, the meeting will be held this time on Skype on Friday, November 16th. If you aren't able to attend, you can just look back and read the messages of the discussion. During this, you will be talking about new updates, agent recommendations, and much more! 

That's pretty much all the updates for this week! Also, make sure you attend Game night, which is tonight, to win some cool prizes like a controller! Also, if you haven't check out the main blog, you might want to because there are some new updates! Many of you have been wondering who's been winning the Daily Draw and they've put a system in that shows who has previously won and how much they've earned from winning. Another cool update, if you haven't noticed, I've been picked as the Featured player on the blog.

Winter blog theme!

Hey guys and gals! Is it just me or is it getting a bit chillier in here? Oh, that's right- Winter is just around the corner! Have you guys noticed the new themes around the blog? Maya has spent some time working on making the blog a huge winter wonderland! Make sure you tell Maya how you think of what you think of her graphics, I totally think they're fresh! The first thing you'll probably notice is our new, breezy header:

Brrr! Make sure you wear something warm like our hats!

We also added a new cute message shown across the screen below the header to all of our welcoming readers that we are in our Winter Edition!

Lastly, we have updated our side tab button pictures, the 'scroller' image, and our banner! Make sure you always check out new things like $hop items and other cool things as well as grab our banner and advertise us (and follow us if you haven't yet, we are almost at one hundred!).

Are you feeling the season set in yet? We sure are and we can't wait for snow! Make sure you grab some coats and boots, we'll be searching for some stylish, bundled-up Chobots to post and show off! New 'Fun Stuff' Tabs!

Hey guys!
While Chobots was down, I was browsing the Forum a lot!
That's when I saw the a-MAYAzing drawing by Twirl of Sylva and I!

I realised that we could have a Fan Mail tab!
That's where you budding authors, artists can really show off your talents and create something related to us!
We'd really appreciate it and enjoy seeing whatever you make!

Another tab I added was the Blog Tutorials tab.
This was highly requested by many Chobots so I decided to make one! It took a very long time to create so I'd love it if you went and gave it a look!

Many Updates!

Hiya Cho's!
It's been such a long time since we've seen you guys! Hopefully, as you've noticed, the blog has changed completely. You'll notice soon that the theme will change to winter, as it is just around the corner.

If you guys would like some recent updates that you might have not noticed, here's some important things to know:

• There are now 6 new agents- please welcome Agnesie, Yosheh, Bluewonder, Feryat, Emma, and Maya!
• Phil has been promoted to a Developer!
• The Market has been shut down because of the low rate of interest and usage in the system.
• We have our November Journalists- Elthomii, Vasa12345, Alert, Agnesie, Bebot, and Adventurous!
• We had our 2nd Halloween party together on Chobots!
• It's already been 2 years on Chobots- woop!
• The Nichos have returned, oh no! Keep an eye out, they're already capturing Chobots!

Name Change
I got my name changed to Maya! It is my nickname and I thought it was about time I changed my name. Also, for those of you who don't know, I have been promoted to Moderator. x]

May Journalists
April is over and a new month is here! Therefore, we are looking for a fresh bunch of Journalists to join this months team.
Here are the main requirements for blogs

• You're posts should not be copied from a different source; you have to write them yourself. You are free to copy pictures from the Official Blog, however if you are taking it from another Chobot's blog, you should always ask for their permission first.
• Be creative and unique - Your posts don't always have to be about Chobots. You could share a story, you could post diary entries, comics.. anything that will make your blog noticed by the judges.
• Your blog must be at least a month old and your blog should be updated at least twice a week.

Game Night Review
Game Night was a blast! We had tons of fun with the users and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Main Blog Updates
Just a few updates added to the blog!
The header looks really funky, it's got a new look to it and is by far the best header yet.

Also, there is a new party tracker designed by Yaniv! This tracker will tell you the upcoming parties including a countdown. So keep an eye out for it!

Epic Designs
Firstly, we have our designer Star back in the team! He is forever creating cool items for Chobots and has a lot of enthusiasm. However, some of the items he creates are inspired by your drawings! He loves them so keep posting on the forums and sending to support! Here are a few of my favourite items which have been designed recently..

Minor Updates!

Hey Chobots,

Around Chobots there has been some great updates for the Chobot world. The updates look amazing, and you will first begin to see the updates as you login! Notice that the server color bars have been changed to a nice looking blue.

Now, if you head on over to Cafe Street you will see that all of the Earth Day decorations have been removed.

And finally when you go into your wardrobe and hover over an item, you'll see it's name! This is a really neat update because if you are looking up a certain item in the market simply hover over it and it will give you the name!

When you log onto Chobots you will get a message asking you to change your passwords. This is for security purposes and making sure that everyone's account is safe.

Also, the bodies button has been updated to the "Premium Items" button! This button looks a lot more sleek and I just prefer way more over the old one. 

What do you guys think of these minor updates? I really like them, especially the "Change Your Password" message because if there's something going wrong on Chobots, they want to make sure everyone is safe and secure. Leave a comment saying what you like the most in these updates!

Weekend of Epic Updates!

Hello guys,
Chobots Team have worked very hard and have introduced a new feature to the game. This is called the market! This is a place where you can sell in-game items to other Chos by auctioning them and bidding on other users items.

How to sell an item?
To the bottom left of your wardrobe, there should be a blue bin. This is where you send your items to sell, you simply drag an item you will be auctioning into the bin.

Then a new tab will appear on your browser, this is the listings page and you will be asked to choose a starting bid, how long the auction should last and then you click 'Create my Auction

It should redirect you to the market homepage and there you have it, your auction is up and ready!
Warning:  When you have listed an item into the market, you cannot access the item in-game.

To view your auction, you click the 'My Auctions' button on the market homepage and a page should appear of your current items on auction and your bidding history.

How do I bid on an item?
To bid on an item, you first need to add bugs into your market account. To do this, you need to click the 'Manage Funds' button located on the bottom of the market page. This will give you the choice to add bugs to your market account, or add bugs back to your chobot account.

After your account has enough bugs for an item you've viewed, you are ready to bid on it! To bid on an item you need to hover over the items tag and a green button which says 'BID' will appear, simply click on it and it will take you to the items auction page.

 

Now you need to bid higher than the current amount and you are the new bidding leader for the item.

What happens when I win an item?
The seller will be notified when their auction is over and will be asked whether they want to sell the item to you. After they have confirmed, the transaction is completed; you will receive the item and they will receive the bugs. If they choose to decline the transaction, they will receive a 5000 bugs fee and you will get back 110% of your winning bid.

Tip: If you want people to bid on your items, be generous on the starting price. You will soon find that multiple users will want your item and raise the bid up high. For example, pricing choproff glasses as 99,999 is pointless because they are free items.

Found a bug or have a suggestion?
Since this is a new feature, there is bound to be bugs in it. If you have found one simply click the Feedback/Bugs button located at the bottom of the market page and tell us!

Fashion Party!
Have you all enjoyed fashion week? Well, to finish off this spectacular week, we've decided to host a giant fashion show for all you Chobots!

The party will take place on Sunday, April 28 at 21:00 Cho Time. We will be having our fashion show at the Disco Lounge.

My name is Captain and I'm a new author here on ChoGossip and I'm super excited to be apart of Twinkle's blog. I've prepared a short little paragraph about myself, just so you readers can get to know me a bit more..

My name is Mike, but a lot of you know my as Captain. I'm an Agent for the virtual world Chobots, and I love my job! Apart from Chobots, I enjoy playing sports like baseball and lacrosse, playing video games with friends, listening to music, and just hanging out. I joined Chobots back in early Chobots.com beta, and I've been going strong sense.

Fashion Week
Do you enjoy going to fashion shows with your friends? If so, then we have some fantastic news for you! The Chobots Team has made this week all about fashion, so you're going to have a chance to win some sweet prizes at the end of the week.

Earth Day Party Review

Hello Everyone!

I am eggs, and I am a new author on this amazing blog! YAY! SO EXCITED!

So I am a 12 year old girl from Australia and an agent, mini mod/forum legend and citizen! Woo woo.

So, on to the post, yesterday was the Earth Day party!

Before I share with you some photos, I would like to share some reviews by the users:

"Its was absolutely epic. The disscussion got everyone interested, the games were fun and the rain was rare and awesome. It evenn rained my favourite item, the paperbag hat!" -iTunez

"The party was great fun! Jake hosted a game (Guess The Item), and we then had to think of an item he was thinking of. We all had a fantastic time! The party lasted about an hour, and within that time, we had done so many cool things. There was rain, magic, and awesome masks!" -Smiley

That was one of the coolest parties I have ever been to. It was really fun, a lot of music and games worth prizes. I also loved the colour scheme which was green -Godlight

Everyone crowded in the eco shop a few minutes before and then we talked about how we should treat the environment, what we think earth day is and how our personal experiences with the environment (at our schools and stuff) And then we decided to....PARTY! Earth Day and Updates

Hey guys! Proggy here with some gossip and updates! First of all, I'd like to tell you that we have two new authors for the ChoGossip Team! Congratulations, Eggs and Captain as you two are our authors. Stay tuned as Twinkle might be needing some more authors soon.

Going green!
Have you noticed anything different about the cafe street? That's right, the Chobots Team has made the cafe street atmosphere green! Why? Well, this week, it's Earth Day! Don't forget to recycle and reuse things :)

I love how there are lots of trees and daisies scattered everywhere. Also, the billboard has change and it looks epic!

Earth Day Party

Earth day is today and to celebrate, Chobots are having a party! Earth Day is a day to raise awareness of the environment, you may learn about it at school. We would love it if you could join us.

Our theme is animal masks, so be sure to come dressed in an animal of some sort!

New wings!
Have you noticed any new items? Well, one of  Nightmare's designs got added to our game! They will most likely be put in the $hop later as they can fly and are super awesome so look out for these awesome wings, you wouldn't wanna miss out!

Mini Quiz Night
